Description
NGN's current GIS landscape is built up of multiple complex, bespoke systems, which were setup by ESRI, which have been added to over the time and contain custom code supported by ESRI under an NGN agreement. Many of these systems have been or will soon be retired following NGN's recent investment to update our underlying GIS software. The work that we are doing with NGN's contracting partner to enhance our mapping software is reliant on ESRI technology but has given us the opportunity to review what our future landscape could look like from both an architectural and user perspective. Future licences and support will form part of the GISU programme, however, owing to a delay with this project and the requirement to upgrade core ESRI technology has resulted in NGN having to extend the current arrangements with ESRI to ensure ongoing support for the current live solutions.
Total Quantity or Scope
3 month extension to current support agreement. NGN contract ESRI to provide software and support for our GIS system which is used by our NGN field engineers and other operational staff to help identify, maintain and capture gas data information on all our below ground assets and geographical information.This includes a Technical Support Agreement (TSA) which provides support for custom code on our legacy applications, such as Collector App, which form a critical part of our data capturing process. The current agreement expires in December 2022 which will need extending for 3 months until such time NGN's new GIS system goes live, after which this support will no longer be required. ESRI UK is the official UK distributor of this software and NGN have chosen to work directly with ESRI rather than use a reseller to provide this support.

Legal Justification
