Description

The Collaborative Procurement Partnership (CPP LLP) on behalf of The Authority is seeking to establish a multi supplier framework agreement for Pre-Operative Skin Preparation Consumables are used as part of the prepping process prior to surgery, for example shaving the patient, marking the patient, and cleaning the hands of the medical staff. The scope of this framework includes: pre-operative hair removal; surgical skin marker pens; pre-operative surgical scrub brushes & accessories and fixed and pivoting head pre-operative surgical hair clippers.

Lot Division

1 Pre-Operative Hair Removal

Pre-Operative Razors are for the removal of body hair prior to patient monitoring or surgery.
2 Surgical Skin Marker Pens

Surgical Skin Marker Pens are to be utilised by clinical staff, in order to accurately mark the skin of a patient prior to and during surgery.
3 Pre-Operative Surgical Scrub Brushes & Accessories

Surgical Scrub Brushes are to be utilised by Theatre staff, to ensure optimal pre-operative hygiene for hands, knuckles, lower arm, nails and wrists and reduce the risk of surgical site infection in patients. The brushes may be supplied dry or Impregnated with Chlorhexidine or Povidone- Iodine solutions.
4 Pre-Operative Surgical Hair Clippers- Fixed and Pivoting

The surgical clippers should be able to cut hair close to the patient’s skin whilst maintaining the skin’s integrity. This Lot is to include the Surgical Hair Clipper Unit, Charger Unit and Replacement Heads and Blades.

Collaborative Procurement Partnership LLP (CPP LLP) acting on behalf of Supply Chain Coordination Ltd (SCCL) are commencing this tender exercise. However, please be advised that with effect from 1st May 2023, CPP LLP will no longer be acting as SCCL’s agent in relation to this procurement. Therefore, SCCL will execute the resultant framework agreement with successful bidders. This PIN is intended to invite supplier engagement to further assist of the procurement and overall solution. It is anticipated that there will be supplier engagement which will cover the intended sourcing approach, regulatory compliance expectations within the ITT procedure and social value & carbon reduction plan requirements. Expressions of interest for the supplier engagement must be received by 13:00BST on 17 April 2023. The supplier engagement will take place in the form of a webinar and/or MS Teams Meetings and either will be arranged on or before the 20 April 2023. Supplier engagement will be carried out in accordance with Regulation 40 and 41 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015. It is anticipated that the tender documents and Contract Notice will be published at the end of May 2023. It is intended that the Framework Agreement will be let for an initial term of 2 years, with optional extensions to not exceed a maximum 4 years overall.
