Description
NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) act in an Agency capacity for and on behalf of its customers (Approved Organisations) - existing and new. These comprise of NHS and Social Care organisations (whether acting individually, or on behalf of, or together as members of any consortia) along with any other public or private sector bodies which NHS SBS authorises to use the resulting Framework. NHS Shared Business Services intends to put in place a Framework Agreement for the provision of security, guarding, CCTV services and other associated services to be used by NHS SBS approved organisations. Including the following associated Lots: Lot 1 - Guarding Services Lot 2 - Security Design & Assessment Lot 3 - Supply, Install & Maintenance of CCTV and Access Control Systems Lot 4 - Supply and Monitoring of Lone Working / Staff Call Systems Our Approved Organisation list can be found on: https://sbs.nhs.uk/proc-framework-agreements-support
Lot Division
| 1 | Guarding Services Provision of a security guarding services to include manned guarding, patrols, guard and sniffer dogs, bed watch services, escort Services, key holding and monitoring services of CCTV and access control. Suppliers are required to provide suitably trained staff to support NHS and other staff when faced with violent or aggressive patients or users of community services. The scope can also include but not be limited to car park cash machines alarms, support to cash handlers and or licensed cash handling services. The new Framework, subject to review and change, is expected to go live in early 2024. |
| 2 | Security Design & Assessment This service will be able to assess the specific risks for an approved organisation and advise, define, and recommend solutions to minimise risks where required or where appropriate, using highly qualified and experience advisors from the security industry. Suppliers will assist an approved organisation in reviews, assessments, testing and recommendations in designing holistic or specific security requirements and improvements. Additional information: Please see description in the main contract objective on the Request for Information (RFI). Further Lots may be defined as an outcome of this initial market engagement PIN. The new Framework, subject to review and change, is expected to go live in early 2024. |
| 3 | Supply, Install & Maintenance of CCTV and Access Control Systems The Lot provides technical advice and where required design and offer appropriate British Standards products and systems to meet an approved organisation's requirements offering appropriate installation and maintenance programmes for but not limited to security alarms systems, intruder alarms, panic alarm systems, access control systems, radio-frequency identification (RFID) bollards, gates, security bars, barriers and fencing. The Supplier should be able to offer a preventative/proactive service, in addition to a reactive/emergency service. | 4 | Supply & Monitoring of Lone Working / Staff Call Systems This Lot provides approved organisations with a solution to meet the needs of the maximising their ability to provide a safe and effective system of monitoring and supporting lone working staff. NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) reserves the right to withdraw this notice at any time. NHS SBS is not bound to accept any proposals submitted by Bidders and is not liable for any costs incurred as a result of Bidders engaging with this process. This early market engagement exercise does not guarantee that a Procurement will take place and NHS SBS reserves the right to defer from any Procurement entirely. NHS SBS intends to hold market engagement sessions during March and April 2023 with industry experts and suppliers interested in potentially bidding for the resulting Framework Agreement. NHS SBS will use an eSourcing system for any procurement activity taken subsequent to this PIN.
