Other Information
** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Norfolk County Council is committed to providing opportunities for developing and supporting the local economy and we are keen to understand the current market place in the construction industry. As part of our research to develop a framework that can deliver best value in Norfolk, we wish to engage with the market. The Council is offering individual meetings with potential contractors to explore the plans for the delivery of this service prior to a contract notice being issued and applications being invited. Meeting slots will be available on Monday 26th and Wednesday 28th June 2023. The meetings will be held in person in Norwich. The meetings will inform providers of our intentions and what we hope to achieve, to ascertain what potential providers see as areas of risk, to discuss the specifications, lotting structure, contractual terms and what (if anything) would stop interested parties from applying. In addition, we would, further to our duties under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, welcome views from potential providers about whether, and if so how, the procurement process could deliver economic, social or environmental benefit for the County of Norfolk. Of particular interest will be how the framework can ensure contributions to achieving net zero targets. Meetings will be limited, therefore if you are interested in this opportunity you are advised to promptly arrange to meet. To express an interest and apply to attend, applicants must first be registered on the procurement system at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/norfolkcc. Full instructions for registration and use of the system can be found athttps://in-tendhost.co.uk/norfolkcc/aspx/BuyerProfiles. Once registered you will be able to view the project under the tenders section and express an interest. To book a place please use the correspondence facility on In-tend and provide 1) your organisation's name 2) the names and e-mail addresses of those wishing to attend 3) your preferred date 4) an AM or PM preference. Please note that procurement documents will not be available until the Contract Notice is published.
