Description

At Network Rail, we are modernising our approach to managing the railway infrastructure. As part of this we need to collect data in near real time from the hundreds of thousands of assets that make up our railway system. We want an intelligent and resilient infrastructure monitoring system that collects, analyses and delivers asset data and insights that our engineering teams can rely on, learn from, identify potential faults, and diagnose the cause of faults that occur.

Total Quantity or Scope

The purpose of this PIN is to: (a) Engage with suppliers to generate and register interest. (b) Provide clarity on the requirement and indicative procurement timelines. (c) Identify the existing solutions available in the market. (d) Obtain feedback in relation to the requirement as currently defined so Network Rail can consider any suggested changes or updates before issuing the potential future tender. (e) Ensure suppliers who are interested in any potential future tender activity relating to this requirement, are aware of the procurement platform and provide them with the steps to register on this platform. Please note the responses to this PIN will be used for information purposes only to inform the future procurement strategy and will not be deemed as forming part of any proposed bid now, or any future tender. Network Rail may be looking to tender this requirement in the near future, any potential tender event in relation to this requirement may be issued via the Network Rail procurement platform - BravoNR, Technology - Supplier Qualification System (SQS). The SQS has been established to provide a single platform for suppliers to register against multiple technology specific categories. Qualification will negate the need for a supplier to complete Network Rail’s mandatory and discretionary questions every time they are invited to participate in a competitive process. Registered and qualified suppliers on the SQS can be considered by Network Rail for contract opportunities without further notification of requirements published via Find a Tender Service. If you wish to be invited to any potential tender opportunity in relation to this requirement, then please refer to the link and instructions below which provide information on: • How to register an account for BravoNR. • How to register and qualify for the SQS and select technology categories. 1. Follow the link - https://networkrail.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login/html 2. From the welcome screen, access the “View Current Opportunities” link and select "Data Loggers". 3. Click on the attachment “Supplier Guidance SQS" to find out how to register an account for BravoNR and how to register for the Supplier Qualification System (SQS) under the following categories: • Infrastructure Monitoring of Infrastructure • Software as a Service
