Scottish Government Supplier Journey: https://www.supplierjourney.scot/ Buyer Help and Guidance on PCS-Tender here: https://www.publictendersscotland.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/web/buyerhelp.h... Supplier Developer Programme https://www.sdpscotland.co.uk/region/public-bodies-forestry-commission/ The buyer is using PCS-Tender to conduct this ITT exercise. The Project code is 24301. For more information see: http://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/info/InfoCentre.aspx?ID=2343 The Contracting Authority does not intend to include a sub-contract clause as part of community benefits (as per Section 25 of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014) in this contract for the following reason: The lotting structure is aimed to encourage SME participation, but as well as encouraging SMEs to bid directly we are also welcoming sub-contracting opportunities, albeit these may be fewer due to the reduced lot sizes. The smaller lots are designed to encourage SME's many of whom do sub-contract. The subcontracting opportunities tend to be low value, and most suppliers already have long standing arrangements with local existing sub-contractors. Therefore, we will not be including the Subcontractor Clause. Community benefits are included in this requirement. For more information see: https://www.gov.scot/policies/public-sector-procurement/community-benefits-in-pr... A summary of the expected community benefits has been provided as follows: THE PURCHASER is looking for a supplier who, in carrying out their obligations under this contract, will bring benefit to the local and broader Scottish community in compliance with THE PURCHASER Requirement. Therefore, delivery of Community Benefits is mandatory within this Contract. Please see Award Criteria section of the FLS-0036-C ITT document which is one of the attachments making up the Tender pack within PCS-T for full details of the Community Benefit requirement.
