Description

The contract which Norfolk County Council currently holds for the provision of statutory advocacy is due the end in June 2024. The statutory advocacy services currently provided under this contract for the County Council are:• Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy – for people who lack capacity, covering safeguarding, serious medical treatment, changes of accommodation and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards• Independent Mental Health Advocacy – for people who are detained under certain sections of the Mental Health Act, or subject to compulsory treatment in the community• Independent Social Care Advocacy – covering people who have substantial difficulties in understanding and being involved in decisions about their care and support• NHS complaints – for people who have experienced problems with health treatment and care.The service will be retendered over the winter of 2023/24.
