Description
The London Borough of Hackney intends to set up long term contract agreements to undertake Lift Maintenance and Servicing works as well as Lift Modernisation works. It is provisionally proposed that the contracts will be arranged in two lots containing up to a maximum of 5 contractors in each lot. One lot will provide for Lift Maintenance and Servicing and the second lot will be for delivering capital Lift Modernisation works. The Authority is organizing a soft market testing 'online' session. At this event the Authority will outline its plans for this Framework and for the work likely to be undertaken through it. To ensure bidders have all the relevant information we will discuss some of the particular aspects of the opportunity including how the works have been scoped and the approximate value of the individual lots. The proposed commercial model will be demonstrated and timescales on the contract mobilisation discussed, so bidders have clear expectations of the service and the tender process. Details of how to participate are set out below. Lift Maintenance Contract for Servicing and Repairs - Lot 1 The London Borough of Hackney intends to set up a contract to undertake Lift maintenance- Breakdown and Servicing Repair works over the course of the next ten years. It is proposed that this lot will contain up to a maximum of 3 contractors. The lot value is likely to be in the region of £12m - £18m. It is proposed to use partnering contracts. Typical works types might be: without limitation: - the regular servicing of over 600 housing lifts, - attending to lift breakdowns and repairs, including provision of an out of hours service, - carrying out attendant environmental works such as pigeon waste clearance and - using the installed lift monitoring system CMS Anyway to identify faults and lift shutdown. Lift Modernisation Works Contract - Lot 2 The London Borough of Hackney intends to set up a Framework Agreement to deliver Lift Modernisation works over the course of the next four to six years. It is thought that this lot will contain up to a maximum of 5 contractors. The lot value is likely to be in the region of £15m to £30m. It is proposed to use partnering contracts. Typical works types might be: without limitation, the modernisation of Hackney's lift stock and where deemed necessary the replacement of major lift components. This will be subject to conditional surveys, servicing reports and past lift breakdown data.
