Description

The UK regional police forces serving West Mercia, Staffordshire and Warwickshire are commencing market engagement activities ahead of a possible tender exercise for the following police custody based services: - Provision of Detention Officer - Detainee healthcare services Initially the three forces are seeking expressions of interest from potential providers with whom the forces can engage further to inform service requirements ahead of a possible procurement exercise to commence in early 2024. It is anticipated that services would commence from September 2024. The exercise is anticipated to be lotted by service and/or geographic region however this will be informed by the market engagement activity. For the avoidance of doubt there is no guarantee that any of the police forces will engage for any or all of the listed services and at this stage are only seeking to understand market options ahead of a possible exercise.

Total Quantity or Scope

Initially, interested organisations are required to express an interest prior to the end of November 2023 with a view to a market engagement event to take place in during the first two weeks of December 2023. PLEASE NOTE that a failure to express an interest at this stage WILL NOT preclude an organisation from participating in any subsequent procurement exercise.

As it is the intention of the three contracting entities to undertake further and more detailed market engagement activity, organisations able to supply one or more of the indicated services should in the first instance make contact utilising the Messaging facility in the Buyer Portal at Section I.3 within the response deadline. Organisations doing so will then be contacted directly with additional information regarding further engagement activity.
