Description
HSE's IT hardware for its science network is located mainly in Harpur Hill, Buxton. HSE recognises that the majority the kit maybe end of life (EOL) or near to EOL and that varying levels of support may be required for each. Details of the kit are provided in Annex A below. HSE is currently undertaking an IT Modernisation Project and there are plans to migrate the majority of information/assets from the Harpur Hill site to a data centre over the next twelve months, this should result in a reduction in the quantity of kit requiring support. HSE has outsourced its IT service desk provision and the supplier provides first and second line level support to all HSE's IT users via an IT Service Desk. The IT Service Desk will log all incidents and will pass incidents to the appropriate resolving department or third party. The successful Supplier will be required to work with the IT Service Desk on a day to day basis providing Third line Support. The IT Service Desk will raise the support tickets and calls with the successful service provider.
