Description

The Education For All South Sudan (EFASS) is the successor to phase one and two of the Girls Education South Sudan (GESS) programme, which has been running since 2012. The anticipated budget is up to £90 million, and we anticipate a continuation of the current multi donor model. The programme seeks to support the provision of essential education services, particularly to girls and children living with disabilities, and enhance the linkages with other UK and wider sector efforts to improve education access and quality. In addition, the programme will work in partnership with the UK's country-led health girls' education and adolescent sexual, reproductive health and rights (ASRHR) provision to address the unmet needs of adolescent girls. The programme will coordinate activities with other education programmes being implemented in South Sudan including Global Partnership for Education (GPE), Education Cannot Wait (ECW), World Bank (WB) education sector and Public Financial Management support. In addition, the programme will work to build linkages with the UK's country led building stability programmes to test approaches to integrate.
