Description

Supply of 33kV metal-enclosed, indoor switchgear for use on NIE Networks distribution system. This framework contract is for five years with an option for a two year extension.

Legal Justification

NIE Networks requires additional 33kV Switchboards from the incumbent supplier primarily due to increased internal and customer requirements in excess of the forecast at the time of the published Contract Award Notice. Furthermore, due to significant lead times it is necessary for NIE Networks to place orders to ensure continued supplies of these units, which are critical to maintain operations, until the award of the new procurement process. This procurement process will commence in 2024 and will include non-SF6 33kV Switchboards.
