Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 or regulation 8 of The Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016 . Charter Against Modern Slavery The Council is committed to proactively vetting our supply chain to ensure no instances of modern slavery are taking place. Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 introduces a requirement for certain commercial organisations (with a turnover over 36M GBP) operating in the UK to produce an annual transparency statement, which sets out the steps the organisation has taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any of its supply chains, or any part of its business.
