Description
To upgrade the current Vehicle Based Systems (VBS) to improve the existing RN detection capability to meet operational needs, expand the geographical reach of the capability, and procure up-to-date and longer lasting equipment to meet end-users needs.
Total Quantity or Scope
The Home Office is the lead government department for immigration and passports, drugs policy, crime, fire, counter-terrorism and police. The Homeland Security Group (HSG) teams sit within the Home Department. HSG plays a crucial role in national security and law enforcement operations and pursuant to this mission they wish to upgrade the existing detectors. The outcomes of this procurement project will be an enhanced ability to detect threat objects, a strengthening of the deterrent effect of the UK’s capabilities and building resilience to respond to any changes in threat.
