Description

Carmarthenshire County Council, in association with Ceredigion County Council, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and Swansea Council will be undertaking a procurement exercise to establish a Framework Agreement for use by public and voluntary sector organisations based (or operating) in the counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Powys and Swansea for the provision of construction-related works. These organisations may include, but are not limited to, central Government departments and their agencies, non-departmental public bodies, devolved administrations, NHS bodies, local authorities, police, fire service, voluntary sector, charities and private sector organisations procuring on behalf of these bodies. Details of any Other Participating Bodies will be confirmed upon publication of the tender.

Lot Division

1 West - East Specific Lots

The Framework will incorporate value-banded lots split according to geographical areas (e.g. West 0 - 1,000,000 GBP and East 0 - 1,000,000 GBP). However, at this stage, the lotting structure is still under development and example above is for illustrative purposes only. Final lot details will be published in the tender documentation. Please note that Powys has been included as a place of performance as certain Other Participating Bodies that may utilise the Framework, operate from premises in Powys, as well as in the main South West Wales Contractors Framework region.
2 Whole Region Lots

The Framework will incorporate region-wide value-banded lots. However, at this stage, the lotting structure is still under development. Final lot details will be published in the tender documentation. Please note that Powys has been included as a place of performance as certain Other Participating Bodies that may utilise the Framework, operate from premises in Powys, as well as in the main South West Wales Contractors Framework region.
3 Housing Construction Lots

The Framework will incorporate value-banded lots specifically for house building works for the region as a whole. However, at this stage, the lotting structure is still under development. Final lot details will be published in the tender documentation. Please note that Powys has been included as a place of performance as certain Other Participating Bodies that may utilise the Framework, operate from premises in Powys, as well as in the main South West Wales Contractors Framework region.

MARKET ENGAGEMENT QUESTIONNAIRE - Carmarthenshire County Council invites responses to an early market engagement in respect of a proposed tender exercise for the South West Wales Regional Contractors Framework. This is not a call for tenders or a pre-qualification exercise. Completed questionnaires for the early market engagement exercise must be submitted by 5:00pm on 15/03/2024. For more information and a hyperlink to the questionnaire, please see the attached information sheet. MARKET ENAGAGEMENT EVENT - A Market Engagement Event will be held prior to advertising the Framework opportunity. The event will provide an overview of the works the Councils are seeking to procure and the procurement process, along with an opportunity for prospective contractors to ask questions on matters relating to the tender. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the event to obtain further information but due to anticipated demand, spaces will be limited to 2 representatives per company.
