Description

Primary care mental health treatment requirements (MHTRs) are for individuals whose mental health issues do not reach the threshold of secondary care services. They have been designed to meet a gap in provision for those with lower-level mental health and dual diagnosis issues in the community. The start date to provide the services is the 1st October 2024. An agreement will be established with the successful Bidder for an initial period of 2 years with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for a further 2 years.

Total Quantity or Scope

Subject to the individual’s consent, primary care MHTRs provide a psychological approach with clinical staff who screen, assess and provide psychological interventions. This is overseen by a qualified psychologist.
