Description

BCP Council is procuring a goods supplier(s) for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and Occupational Clothing, Workwear and Footwear. The contract aims to deliver exceptional value for money, enhanced sustainability, improved professional image, and foster an inclusive culture in which everybody feels seen, respected, and valued. Products are required to be procured in line with sustainable procurement strategies, utilising natural fibres where possible to ensure staff comfort (particularly important in relation to menopause and peri-menopause). The scope of supply extends to all operations across the Council including but not limited to the following: • Housing • Seafront • Grounds maintenance, parks and countryside • Construction teams (highways, buildings) • Transport / fleet • Waste • Leisure • Security • Parking / civil enforcement • Hospitality / catering This contract has been divided into lots which are: • Lot 1 - Site PPE • Lot 2 - Trade • Lot 3 - Healthcare • Lot 4 - Hospitality and Funeral • Lot 5 - Security & Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) • Lot 6 - Leisure and Seafront • Lot 7 - Footwear Bidders can tender for a single lot or multiple lots. BCP’s intention is to award 1 supplier per Lot on the Framework.

Lot Division

1 Site PPE

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 1 is for suppliers to provide Site PPE (e.g. products meeting EN471 designed for safety in and around highways and construction environments), which may increase or decrease depending on service requirements. BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

2 Trade

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 2 is for suppliers to provide Trade clothing (e.g. products designed for user comfort and to protect the skin), which may increase or decrease depending on service requirements. BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

3 Healthcare

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 3 is for suppliers to provide clothing and associated products for healthcare (e.g. products designed for use within a healthcare setting, including both personal protection and user comfort). BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

4 Hospitality and Funeral

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 4 is for suppliers to provide Hospitality and Funeral (e.g. products designed for use within a hospitality and catering setting, including both personal protection and user comfort) which may increase or decrease depending on service requirements. BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

5 Security & Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO)

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 5 is for suppliers to provide Security & Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) (e.g. products designed for use within a security and civil enforcement setting, including both personal protection and user comfort) which may increase or decrease depending on service requirements. BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

6 Leisure and Seafront

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 6 is for suppliers to provide clothing and uniforms for Leisure and Seafront staff (e.g. products designed for use within leisure setting, including both personal protection and user comfort), which may increase or decrease depending on service requirements. BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

7 Footwear

The scope and specification of the contract for Lot 7 is for suppliers to provide Footwear (e.g. footwear products that meet safety standards and designed for comfort in and around a number of various environments), which may increase or decrease depending on service requirements. BCP Council reserves the right to make adjustments to the scope of the contract for this Lot through either the addition or removal of sites throughout the contract duration.

Renewal Options

The Authority has 2 options to extend the contract and each option shall be an additional 12 months. The maximum period of this contract shall therefore be 84 months and this period includes all options to extend.
