Description

The aim of this service is to focus on primary prevention (i.e. preventing a first injurious fall) by improving on strength and balance, working collaboratively with relevant partners such as our in-house lifestyles service, Healthy Sandwell or with local NHS services for example, to provide falls awareness information and connect residents to reduce social isolation / loneliness.

The relative importance of the key criteria was as follows: 1. Quality and innovation, 10%; 2. Value, 60% (of this 50% was Price and 10% was Value considerations); 3. Integration, collaboration, and service sustainability, 10%; 4. Improving access, reducing health inequalities and facilitating choice, 10%; 5. Social Value, 10%. This also took account of the Council's own policies in regards to Procurement procedures. The assessment panel was made up of council staff. All bidders were assessed formally awarded using the assessment criteria outlined in the Invitation to Competitive Tender. competitive process. The successful bidder passed the basic selection criteria and date of contract award was 14/06/2024. The duration of contract: The Agreement for the highest scoring in regard above Service will be for an initial period of 2 years from 19/07/2024 to 18/07/2026 with the Key Criteria. option to extend, subject to review, for up to a maximum of one (1) from 19/07/2026 to 17/07/2027. The total lifetime value of the contract: £238,827.19
