Description

We would like to develop and implement a IT recycling project across Kent for those who would like to recycle their old devices and have their data securely wiped. The Device Recycling Scheme offers an avenue for residents and businesses across Kent to have their electronic devices data wiped and recycled properly and sustainably. The scheme will both allow for a safe and free way for residents and businesses to dispose of their IT waste, reducing hazardous materials going to landfill and provides Kent County Council with funds to support other projects within the organisation. Our Device Recycling Scheme provides Kent residents, businesses, and organisations with the opportunity to sustainably dispose of their unwanted devices, safely and securely, while simultaneously preserving the environment. Contributing to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) category, unwanted and discarded devices are part of the fastest growing type of waste, in the UK today. Our Device Recycling Scheme aims to refurbish and reuse wherever possible and directly support those in our community, who need access to devices and hardware. This contract has been awarded under the Y21028 KCS framework.
