Description
The Department has a need to establish a call-off contractual arrangement, for each of its workshops across Northern Ireland in order to support in-house maintenance operations. Each contract is designed to provide the Department with a facility to have guaranteed work undertaken owing to not having sufficient in-house technical personnel to meet operational requirements. Should this change during the term of this contract the Department reserves the right to change the work from guaranteed scheduled work to non-guaranteed unscheduled work. This may be on a workshop by workshop basis. Each lot will be evaluated independently and there is no limit to the number of Lots that any one Economic Operator can be awarded. Other Information
The total contract value is estimated at £6 Million which has been split equally across all Lots. However depending on actual demand, this figure is subject to change across the various Lots throughout the lifetime of the contract. DfI is utilising an electronic tendering system to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers. Accordingly, it is. intended that all communications with DfI including the accessing and submission of tender responses will be conducted via https://. etendersni.gov.uk/epps/home.do. The successful contractor's performance on the contract will be regularly monitored. If a contractor. fails to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance they will be given a specified time to improve. If, after the specified time, they. still fail to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance, the matter will be escalated to senior management in the Department for. Infrastructure for further action. If this occurs and their performance still does not improve to satisfactory levels within the specified. period, it may be regarded as an act of grave professional misconduct and they may be issued with a Certificate of Unsatisfactory. Performance and the contract may be terminated. The issue of a Certificate of Unsatisfactory Performance will result in the contractor. being excluded from all procurement competitions being undertaken by Centres of Procurement Expertise on behalf of bodies covered. by the Northern Ireland Procurement Policy for a period of twelve months from the date of issue of the certificate.
