Total Quantity or Scope

Provision of intermediate care beds in the West Norfolk locality to be used to facilitate hospital discharge (step-down) and to support admission avoidance (step up). The full service specification is for a minimum of 30 beds.Key Criteria:1. The provider organisation has the required capability (experience, expertise etc.) and space/premises to deliver the required service in line with the specification.2. The provider can fulfill the full requirements of the service specification within the financial envelope of the contract.3. The provider is committed to working with partners in the local health system e.g. QEH, Home First Hub, Virtual Ward etc. to support discharge and enhance patient care.4. The provider has employment procedures and policies in line with NHS requirements, providing fair terms and conditions which support equality or opportunity within the workforce and supports a diverse workforce.5. The geographical location of the provider premises is within the area defined within the service specification (within 3 miles of QEH).The Trust has explored options available and intends to award a contract under the most suitable provider process.The initial contract will be for 30 months from 01/10/2024 - to 31/03/2027.
