The London Borough of Islington (LBI) is committed to supporting its residents to live healthy, purposeful, independent, connected, and fulfilling lives. The primary purpose of the service is to provide housing related support to people at risk of losing their tenancies as a result of one or a combination of factors which may include (though not exclusively) rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, mental ill health, substance misuse, learning disabilities, having been in care and a history of homelessness. Housing Related Support Commissioning Intentions for people with complex needs This event will also cover future commissioning intentions for people with complex needs. Islington Council is developing new commissioning intentions for housing related support services for individuals with complex needs experiencing homelessness and other intertwined challenges. This initiative aims to: • Improve integration and coordination of services. • Prevent homelessness and sustain tenancies. • Promote independence for this vulnerable population. We are planning a market engagement event on Wednesday 2nd October between 2 - 3.30pm. This will be an online event where we will be discussing the Floating Support tender and future commissioning intentions being developed by the Council for people with complex needs. We are also inviting feedback from experienced organisations at this event.
