Good quality data, evidence, and intelligence are essential for promoting transparency, accountability, informed decision-making, innovation, and collaboration in a society. It empowers a range of stakeholders at an individual and organisational level to access and use data for positive change and accountability. Currently, in Islington, information is held across different departments within the Council and across different external organisations such as the NHS, ONS and the voluntary sector. Having information held in this way, by different departments and in different organisations, makes it difficult for people to access high quality intelligence quickly and easily on different topics in Islington.
