Legal Justification
This is not a Tender Opportunity. This is a voluntary ex ante transparency notice (VEAT). Middlesbrough Council is intending to enter a contract with Premier Trees Ltd and Arborcut Tree Services for urgent specialist, remediation tree works in and around public parks in Middlesbrough to commence on the 22nd November. This is to eliminate risk to life, land, plants, and trees allowing enough time for Middlesbrough Council to undertake a new tender process for further requirements. A market consultation with the supply chain was undertaken to assess the capabilities to deploy the urgent solution (to due risk of life). Further engagement resulted in two suitable capable suppliers being able to demonstrate immediate availability. The Council will incorporate a standstill period in the VEAT notice expiring on 21st November.
