The estimated value in II.2.6) above includes; Contract period of 3 years, plus an option to extend for 4 x 12 month periods (4 years). The value also includes a potential increase in service volumes of 50% as outlined in Section 1.4.5 of the SS20a Scoping and Specification document. It is not a guarantee of uptake or minimum demand. The tendered service addresses two distinct population groups; (i) Individuals using substances aged 18+ years (ii) Family / Carers / People affected by the substance use of others aged 18+ years. Service Providers are required to deliver a Step 2 structured community based early intervention and support service to individuals with problematic substance use and family members / carers / People affected by the substance use of others, including where appropriate: (i) Promotion of psychoeducational materials and delivery of brief advice and support (ii) Extended Brief Interventions (iii) Psychotherapeutic Interventions. The full service requirements are provided within the SS20a Scoping and Specification Document, which is part of the suite of tender documents. In section I.2), it is stated that this procurement is a joint procurement. This is not a joint procurement it is operated by BSO PaLS on behalf of the Public Health Agency (PHA) in Northern Ireland. The estimated value in II.1.5 above includes the initial contract period of 3 years, plus an option to extend for 4 x 12 month periods (4 years). The value also includes a potential increase in service volumes of 50% as outlined in Section 1.4.5 of the SS20a Scoping and Specification document.
