Description

To continue to enhance the safety environment for railway track workers, passengers and the public, Network Rail need to introduce technology which enhances safety controls and enables work to be undertaken more efficiently. This notice specifically relates to enabling the capabilities of enhanced Possession and Worksite management. Network Rail wish to use geofencing and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) enabled technology to provide live geospatial positioning and improve the performance of operations, with a focus on the following possession and worksite example use cases:
