CAV servers are central points where antivirus definitions, scans, and policies are stored and distributed to endpoint devices within the network. The anti-virus protection for these servers ensures: - Detection: The server identifies known and unknown threats by scanning files, processes, and data streams. - Prevention: It blocks malicious code from entering the server or spreading to connected endpoints. - Removal: It eliminates any detected malware from the server and endpoints to prevent infection from spreading further. - Real-time Monitoring: Continuous scanning and monitoring of the server for any signs of compromise. - Update Management: The server regularly updates antivirus definitions and software to stay current with the latest threats.
