Description
Derby City Council intends to contract for a Tree, Tree Preservation Order and Asset Management System, already in use at Council but client hosted to be moved to software as a service. The Council has published this VEAT notice and intends to award a contract following a 10 day standstill period for this notice.

Software as a Service for a Tree, Tree Preservation Order and Asset Management System, already in use at Council but client hosted. The contract is to include hardware costs (4G tablets with accessories), initial project build and one-off costs (including data migration, smart sync upgrade, hosting on the cloud), with licenses and annual support for up to five years. The Council is proposing to contract with RA Information Systems to provide the service as the company are, as the developers and owners, the only provider able to support this proprietary product.

It is proposed to directly award a contract without prior publication of a call for competition. … The Council will consider procurement options for a replacement longer term contract 50 months into the proposed contract duration.
