Description

AiB has a requirement for 3rd line support and minor development for bespoke case management systems. In addition to support and minor development AIB require architectural system reviews to be undertaken on each supported system to assist in prolonging the life of each system. First and 2nd line IT support for all bespoke applications continues to be provided by our in-house dedicated IT Support Team. This contract was originally awarded as a call off under the Scottish Government (SG) collaborative framework for ICT Services - Digital and Technology Services (DATS) SP-14-007.

Legal Justification

The on-set of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented uncertainty in relation to the work undertaken by AiB. Throughout 2020 various AiB IT system changes had to be made at short notice to accommodate emergency legislation amendments in relation to COVID-19. This has impacted the capacity of AiB to fully establish the IT support and development requirement going forward and retender the contract at this time. This modification will ensure continuity of essential support services and minor IT development and allow AiB to complete the procurement process and transition to a new contract.

This contract was awarded under the SG collaborative framework: ICT Services - Digital & Technology Services (DATS) SP-14-007. As this was a call off contract an OJEU award notice was not published, therefore the OJEU reference for the framework award notice has been provided at Section IV IV.2.1. An award notice for this call off contract was published via the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) quick quote function, with a notice reference of APR279706.
