Description
The proposed works cover a single stage tender for detail design and construction and commission which may be awarded to one tenderer. Network Rail reserves the right, subject to funding and consents, to award the works in part or in full. Rationalised Autotransformer work consists of the following aspects • Traction Power Integrated Protection and Control — IEC 61850 protocol software configuration, — Test and Commission, — Protection Design. • High Voltage Switchgear modification — Electrical Wiring. The scope is the implementation of the RATS .1.5.4 scheme to the 0-25 mile section between Kensal Green ATFS and Maidenhead MPATS. The contractor will be responsible for designing in line with the RATS Key Logic Diagrams and subsequently modifying switchgear, P&C panels, AEE buildings, IED configurations, RTU configurations, and ethernet switches.
Total Quantity or Scope
The scope is the implementation of the RATS .1.5.4 scheme to the 0-25 mile section between Kensal Green ATFS and Maidenhead MPATS. The contractor will be responsible for designing in line with the RATS Key Logic Diagrams and subsequently modifying switchgear, P&C panels, AEE buildings, IED configurations, RTU Configurations, and ethernet switches. The scope of service required is summarised here: • provide a competent design resource able to produce a Protection Scheme, IPC configuration, wiring and HV Alterations design in line with the Key Line Diagrams that are to be implemented; • provide a competent installation resource that can work in operational substations; • provide a planning resource that has full understanding of the operational railway and how such scheme can be implemented at minimal disruption to the passenger service; • provide a competent and experienced Testing and Commissioning Manager to plan and execute electrical testing and tester in charge is a signalling role; • coordination of electrical testing by entry into Service TSS switches between Paddington and Maidenhead; • network Rail testing and entry into service of 2 of 25 kV substations; • T&C planning and safety documentation in support of testing; • leading the coordination with the electrical control room; • managing the isolation diagram process and control room instruction requirements.
