Description
This notice pertains to a multi-provider framework agreement established by NWUPC in 2019 on behalf of the members of NWUPC, APUC, HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC and SUPC for the supply and Installation of high value laboratory equipment. The framework agreement commenced on 1.8.2019 for an initial period of 24 months until 31.7.2021, and has seen two 12 month extensions until a final end date of 31.7.2023. Legal Justification
This notice pertains to the award of the framework agreement detailed in Section II which was tendered in 2019. The framework agreement was published with an estimated value of 193 181 123.78 GBP and the agreement has not reached this initial estimated value, with actual spend on the agreement (with 8 months left to run) standing at 63 333 812.78 GBP. Individual estimated lot values were included against some lots and, owing to changing requirements, some lots have exceeded or will exceed the initial estimated value before the expiration of the framework. It must be noted that the overall value of the framework of 193 181 123.78 GBP will not be exceeded. Updated estimated values are as follows: Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEMs) previous £15,185,030.40 new £25,000,000.00 Diffraction Apparatus previous £4,535,730.83 new £6,000,000.00 Polycrystalline & Single Crystal X-Ray Analysis Equipment previous £2,672,470.40 new £4,000,000.00 Atomic Spectrophotometers previous £218,800.62 new £1,500,000.00 Raman Microscopes previous £1,525,857.60 new £2,000,000.00 X-Ray Microscopes previous £1,227,200.00 new £3,000,000.00 X-Ray Elemental Analysis Equipment previous £1,002,397.19 new £3,000,000.00 Focused Ion Beam Microscopes previous £96,000.00 new £5,000,000.00 MRI Scanners for Veterinary Use previous £2,000,000.00 new £6,000,000.00. Award Criteria: A further 5.00% is allocated for members to evaluate added value at mini competition stage. The added value criterion will be detailed at mini competition by the individual NWUPC, APUC, HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC and SUPC member accessing the agreement and will vary dependent on individual institutional requirements.
