Description

The Department for Transport (DfT) is seeking a Transport Economics Training provider to provide training, specifically pertaining to the key principles of transport economics and how those principles are practically applied. The Department for Transport is seeking a supplier who will deliver learning interventions covering two core topic areas: • Transport Investment Appraisal (TIA): cost-benefit analysis and the development of business cases, consistent with HMT Green Book guidance and the DfT’s Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG). • Transport Infrastructure and Economic Performance (TIEP): how we robustly assess the impact of transport interventions on economic performance, such as productivity, investment, and employment. This contract will be let on a 2+1 year term. Prospective bidders will be required to register via DfTs e-procurement portal to access the ITT pack and formally submit a tender.

Total Quantity or Scope

Specific Training Services - Transport Economics. Bidders are expected to have in-depth, demonstrable experience delivering Transport Investment Appraisal courses and Transport Infrastructure and Economic Performance courses. The suppliers should deliver learning interventions so that delegates: • are confident that they understand the core principles of transport appraisal and the links between transport infrastructure and economic performance. • can explain these core principles in a clear and accessible way to non-specialists. • are highly effective in designing, undertaking and delivering high-quality transport appraisals; and • are highly proficient in reviewing and critically challenging appraisals produced by others. The courses are expected to be delivered both face-to-face (in person) and virtually. The full tender pack is accessible via DfT's e-sourcing platform. Renewal Options

The contract is initially let on a 2-year (24-month) term, with an OPTION to extend by a further year. The budget reflected in this publication take into account the +1 year.
