Description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England (The Commissioner) is placing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) regarding Community School Age Immunisation Services (CSAIS) which will be used as a conduit to obtain feedback from the market and ascertain market capability and interest in the opportunity and help determine the appropriate way forward.The Commissioners would also like to invite potential Bidders to a Market Engagement Webinar taking place on 10th June 2024 at 12:00 midday via MS Teams. The event will cover the service specification and procurement process.
Total Quantity or Scope
NHS England is responsible for commissioning Section 7A Public Health services which include the community and school aged immunisation service (CSAIS) delivered to children and young people. The aim of this service is to deliver a safe and effective vaccinations to children and young people in school and community settings. This service will cover the following immunisations: • Seasonal flu immunisation including Live Attenuated Influenza Vaccine (LAIV) and intramuscular (IM) vaccines in line with national roll out plans, this includes special schools and nurseries (students and staff) • Tetanus, diphtheria, and polio (Td/IPV)• Meningococcal groups A, C, W and Y (MenACWY) • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) for girls and boys • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) catch-up • Neonatal/ infant BCG and BCG catch-up • Outbreak response in a community setting.• Potential to expand further to cover the following (but not limited to)- Provide opportunistic adult immunisations.- RSVNHS England, East of England, has reviewed the existing CSAIS services delivered across the region’s 6 ICBs (currently configured according to geographies of Essex, East Anglia, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes). To streamline our commissioning approach and to simplify contracting arrangements, it is our intention to consider moving to commission a single service for the East of England Region. The procurement is expected to deliver the following benefits: • Protect individuals and communities against vaccine preventable diseases. • Maximise overall uptake achieving ‘herd immunity’ wherever possible. • Improve uptake in areas of historically low uptake. • Improve consistency of service provision across the whole of East of England region. • Providing appropriate and patient led services in the right place. • More cost-effective use of NHS resources. • Respond to outbreaks.The Commissioner is placing a Prior Information Notice (PIN) which will be used as a conduit to obtain feedback from the market and ascertain market capability and interest in the opportunity and help determine the appropriate way forward.By following the relevant access details below Providers will be able to access the project on Atamis where they can view a suite of documentation including the service specification for the service. It is anticipated that TUPE will apply to this service going forwards and if applicable, details will be shared as part of any selected process. Providers will be invited to offer feedback via a set of questions.
