Description
This tender is for the provision of software licensing and services for Windows, Microsoft, Adobe, VMWare and other miscellaneous or commercial off the shelf software sold via resellers. This framework also accommodates deals that may be in place directly with original software vendors (OSV). Successful resellers will be expected to provide added value services. The Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) awards and manages framework agreements for higher education and is acting as lead organisation on behalf of its members and also for members of the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium(NEUPC), North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC), the Higher Education Purchasing Consortium Wales (HEPCW), Advanced Procurement for universities and Colleges Limited (APUC) and Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC). A full list of the participating Consortia members is available on the Consortia websites.

This includes access to special pricing and terms and conditions, negotiated on behalf of the HE/FE Sector, directly with the OSV by JISC i.e., Chest Agreements including but not limited to EES, Academic Select Plus and Academic CSP Agreements. This includes access to special pricing and terms and conditions, negotiated on behalf of the HE/FE Sector, directly with Adobe by JISC i.e., Chest Agreements. It is envisaged that a maximum of 6 suppliers will be awarded to this sub lot. 3 | VMWare Software and Associated Services VMware software, licenses, support, maintenance, renewals and associated services including consultancy, which is limited to the products available via this lot. 4 | Other Miscellaneous software and Associated Services Miscellaneous software and licenses including support and associated services, maintenance and renewals. Commercial off the shelf software and licenses including support, maintenance and renewals. To include consumption based models via Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) options. This includes access to special pricing and terms and conditions, negotiated on behalf of the HE/FE Sector, directly with OSVs by JISC i.e., Chest Agreements (where applicable). Where software vendors are prepared to supply via a reseller, there is the additional flexibility for Jisc (a member of LUPC) to run a mini-competition on behalf of members for each new/renewed Chest Software Agreement via Lot 4. Under this model, Jisc would act as the conduit for member institutions to place their order with Jisc which will then place back-to-back or consolidated orders [under their own pre-procured Chest Software Agreement] with the reseller for onward transmission to the vendor.
