Description
NHS Shared Business Services act in an Agency capacity for and on behalf of its customers (Approved Organisations) - existing and new. These comprise of NHS and Social Care organisations (whether acting individually, or on behalf of, or together as members of any consortia) along with any other public or private sector bodies which NHS SBS authorises to use the resulting Framework. NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) has put in place a Framework Agreement for the provision of Cloud Solutions and related Goods and Services for Healthcare to be used by NHS SBS Approved Organisations. Our Approved Organisation list can be found on: https://www.sbs.nhs.uk/proc-information-for-suppliers The Framework includes the following Lots: Lot 1 - Solution Design and Consultancy Lot 2 - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) Lot 3 - Cloud Support Services Lot 4 - End-to-end Cloud Solutions
Lot Division
1 | Solution Design and Consultancy This Lot allows approved Organisations to procure services relating to the design of cloud solutions including but not limited to consultancy and advice on migration, acquisition (identification, selection and procurement) and delivery and receipt of cloud services and their use. The 26 Suppliers awarded to Lot 1 have met all the mandatory requirements for this Lot as detailed in the tender documents for the Framework Agreement. |
2 | Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) This Lot enables Approved Organisations to procure their requirements for infrastructure, platform and software all using the recognised 'as a service' methodology for cloud delivery, i.e. remotely hosted and delivered via the internet. This includes cloud hosting and access to compute resources. The 22 Suppliers awarded to Lot 2 have met all the mandatory requirements for this Lot as detailed in the tender documents for the Framework Agreement. |
3 | Cloud Support Services This Lot enables Approved Organisations to procure their requirements for services which support and enable the cloud delivery described as being within the scope of Lot 2, including without being limited to, maintenance and support services, advice on configuration and optimisation of cloud infrastructure and related financial operations (FinOps). The 23 Suppliers awarded to Lot 3 have met all the mandatory requirements for this Lot as detailed in the tender documents for the Framework Agreement. |
4 | End-to-end Cloud Solutions This Lot enables Approved Organisations to procure their requirements for holistic service delivery relating to cloud services which may wholly or partially span the scope of Lots 1 to 3 inclusive. Lot 4 has been populated with 13 Suppliers who have been successfully awarded to Lots 1-3 inclusive and confirmed that they wish to be considered for appointment to Lot 4. |

Other Information
Start Date: 25 April 2024 End Date: 24 April 2026 Term: 24 months with an option to extend for further period(s) up to 24 months. The value provided in 2.1.7 is only an estimate. NHS SBS cannot guarantee to successful Suppliers any business through this Framework Agreement. Spend and volumes may vary throughout the life of the Framework Agreement from the anticipated levels given in this notice. We are unable to break down the anticipated value for each lot hence sections 4.2.4 each use the total value for the framework agreement as included in section 2.1.7. Some purchases under this Framework Agreement may have requirements that can be met under this Framework Agreement but the purchase of which may be exempt from the Procurement Regulations. In such cases, Call-off Contracts from this Framework will be unregulated purchases for the purposes of the Procurement Regulations, and Approved Organisations may, at their discretion, modify the terms and conditions of any Call-off Contracts to reflect that Approved Organisation's specific needs.
